Lucija waterfront, together with Marina Portorož, is now representing an interruption of the coastal connection between Portorož and the green area of Seča with Formaviva and Sečovlje Salina Nature Park. The purpose of this project is regaining this connectivity by regulating the urbane areas on the Lucija waterfront, now covered by a huge degraded zone. By establishing a circular channel around the Portorož marina, there occur new tempting opportunities for a walkway and park areas near the water, also for hosting the programs of central activities. The closing of Lucija camp gives room for prolonging the walkway all the way to the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park. The Lucija thermal riviera is included in the transitional park area of the waterfront.
